Open positions

  • What does the application process at Skaylink look like?

You can find an in-depth description of our application process on our Careers page.

  • How do I apply for an open position?

Simply click the Apply now button, upload your CV/resume, and fill out the application form. Alternatively, you can also apply directly via LinkedIn. Please do not send an application via email.

  • Is the listed position still open/current?

Yes, all listed positions are current. Once a position has been filled, we take the advertisement offline.

  • I do not speak German. Can I still apply?

For most of our job profiles, we need a sound knowledge of German. However, there are positions and teams – especially in the field of Managed Services – where English is the primary working language.

  • When is my application complete?

In all cases, we need your CV/resume. If you are applying for a trainee position, we also need a cover letter. We also look forward to receiving the relevant transcripts and certificates.

  • How comprehensive should my CV/resume be?

To give us as concrete an idea of you and your abilities as possible, we need an informative CV. Please describe at minimum your last two positions in detail.

  • Can I apply for more than one position at the same time?

Please do! In your application, you also have the opportunity to indicate that we may consider you directly for other positions.

  • I do not meet all the requirements. Can I still apply?

Absolutely! We are happy to support you in expanding your technical expertise. It is important to us that you fit into our team and can identify with our Skaylink mindset – you can learn almost everything else.

  • I applied to Skaylink in the past. Is another application worth it?

Yes! Since our project situation and the skills needed for customer assignments are constantly changing, we look forward to both your continuing interest and your application.

  • Right now, none of the open positions fits me – what can I do?

We look forward to your unsolicited application via our contact form. We will check internally whether your profile matches an opportunity and will be in touch.

  • Are unsolicited applications possible?

Of course! Simply send your unsolicited application via our contact form. We will check internally whether your profile matches an opportunity and will be in touch.

  • When can I expect to get a response to my application?

Usually we will be in touch with you within 7 days. If you have not heard anything from us within 14 days, feel free to contact us and ask. In exceptional cases, there may be delays due to illness and vacation.

Questions about the interview

  • How can I prepare myself for an interview with Skaylink?

First, find out more about us as a company via our website and LinkedIn. We also want to get to know you as a person and look forward to hearing about your career to date, including real-world examples.

  • How do you conduct interviews?

Usually, our interviews are held remotely via Microsoft Teams. If the opportunity arises, we would be happy to get to know you in person at one of our offices.

  • Will I be reimbursed for the travel costs to an interview on site?

Yes, you will be reimbursed for the travel costs for the most affordable mode of travel if your home is located outside the metropolitan area of the respective location at which the interview is held.

Questions about starting and day-to-day work

  • How long does it usually take to go from submitting an application to starting?

This depends on your individual availability. For most of our positions, we do not have any fixed start date in mind. Usually there is a four-week period between receiving your application and signing the contract – but it can also be shorter.

  • What is the onboarding process like?

You can read about our onboarding process in detail on our Careers page.

  • Are there flexible working hours and work-from-home opportunities?

Yes! However, some of our positions require fixed working hours and working in the office – at least in part.

  • Can I work from another country long-term?

If we already have a location in that country, then it is possible under certain circumstances. However, this is decided on a case-by-case basis and must be discussed as part of the hiring process.

You can always take advantage of our workation option. However, workation is not possible long-term.

  • What does a workation look like?

Do you want to get out of cold and damp Germany in winter? Or would you like to stay longer at your vacation spot after your summer vacation? Since flexibility is very important to us, we offer workation in the EU. Outside of the EU, this must be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Understandably, your workation must be approved by management and be compatible with the customer project.

  • Is there a dress code?

This depends entirely on the setting. In the interview, it is important that you feel comfortable and don’t pretend to be something you’re not. Most employees in our offices dress casually. For appointments with customers, you should base your clothing style on the customer’s requirements.

  • What benefits and perks are there for employees?

You will find a complete overview of our broad offer on the Careers page.

Further, we have our own Skaylink Campus. Here, employees can acquire recognized certificates and improve their soft skills. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to take on the trainer role yourself and share your own expertise on the campus or at external events.

  • Are there regular feedback or development meetings?
