Are there certain soft skills that you particularly value in applicants? If so, what are they?
Yes, definitely! I particularly appreciate it when applicants are able to break down and explain complex technical aspects in an understandable way - that not only shows expertise, but also communicative strength. I also find it pleasant when someone brings a certain relaxed demeanour to the interview. Of course, a job interview is a stressful situation for many people, but a relaxed, authentic manner often makes the interview much more pleasant for both sides. Another positive signal is curiosity - when applicants ask specific questions about the position and show interest, it comes across as engaging and motivating.
What strategies do you pursue to build a diverse and inclusive workforce?
A diverse and inclusive workforce is the result of many factors. An inclusive application process plays a crucial role in promoting diversity. I place particular emphasis on gender-neutral and inclusive job advertisements, a standardised and transparent interview method and continuous reflection on unconscious biases and patterns. My aim is not only to ensure fair and objective selection processes, but also to actively contribute to an inclusive working environment.
